2021 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE –
225 CMR 22
On January 1, 2023, the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) to include 225 CMR 22: Massachusetts Front-End Amendments to the International Energy Conservation Code 2021 became the new energy code that will enforced by the Building Department. Residential permit applications to include single family dwellings, additions, remodeling/renovations, basement, attics, must comply with the 2021 International Energy Conservation code and Massachusetts Amendments.
GAS FIREPLACE APPROVAL CODE
Effective April 1, 2023, any gas fireplaces must include an approval code with the permit application for a gas fireplace. Please see Accepted Plumbing Products Online System by the Division of Professional Licensure.
ONLINE PERMITTING
We are pleased to announce that you may complete the following permits fully online:
Electrical – Plumbing – Gas
* Roof – Windows – Doors – Siding
* Insulation/Weatherization/Air Sealing
Certificate of Inspections
You need to upload the following to complete the online permitting:
- Licenses
- Certificate of Insurance
- Contract
- Plans
Last but not least – Sign it electronically
Once these steps are fully completed and reviewed, we will send you an email with a link to pay for it online.
* You will need to come in and pick up the Job Weather Card and post it at the job location or mail a self-addressed stamped envelope so we can mail it to you.
ANY PERMIT NOT LISTED ABOVE - ONCE ENTERED ONLINE NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON OR MAILED TO US, WITH HARD COPIES OF ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.
